Celebrating 5 years, and 550,000 books!
BOOKS--A-GO GO is an international organization that collects used and new children's books and gives them to children from low income families. These books are distributed through schools and organizations that support these children.
Kids need books to improve their literacy and develop a love of reading. BOOKS-A-GO GO has given OVER 550,000 books to children whose families cannot afford to buy them the books they need. The children love receiving their books, and get so excited, they hug them and can't want to read them. For many children, it will be the first book in their home.
Millions of children throughout our country love books and want to read, but they do not have any books at home. BOOKS-A-GO GO wants to fix that, and is changing children's lives, one book at a time.

BOOKS-A-GO GO operates year round, and will host it's 6th Annual National Children's Book Drive in March, 2012. Let us know if you can have a book drive for BOOKS-A-GO GO!
Our goal is to have cities across America, collecting children's books, and giving them to the children in their communities who cannot afford them. Ask us how YOU can help!

BOOKS-A-GO GO is pleased to have Mary Pope Osborne, and Natalie Pope Boyce to our advisory board. Mary Pope Osborne is the author of the Magic Tree House Series, and her sister Natalie Pope Osborne writes the Magic Tree House Research Guides. Osborne and Boyce have been very active promoting literacy for all children, and BOOKS-A-GO GO is pleased to work with them.
