BOOKS--A-GO GO is an international organization that collects used and new children's books and gives them to children from low income families.   These books are distributed through schools and organizations that support these children. 

Kids need books to improve their literacy and develop a love of reading.  BOOKS-A-GO GO has given hundreds of thousands of free books to children whose families cannot afford to buy them the books they need.  The children love receiving their books, and get so excited, they hug them and can't want to read them.  For many children, it will be the first book in their home.                                                   

Millions of children throughout our country love books and want to read, but they do not have any books at home.   BOOKS-A-GO GO wants to fix that, and is changing children's lives, one book at a time. 


BOOKS-A-GO GO operates year round, and had it's 4th Annual National Children's Book Drive in March.  Let us know if you can have a book drive for  BOOKS-A-GO GO in March or anytime.

                                         BOOKS FOR HAITI

BOOKS-A-GO GO is providing hundreds of French books, coloring books and crayons to the children in Haiti.  Schools, churches and orphanages have been destroyed, and thousands of children have no access to books.  Please visit BOOKS-A-GO GO's our '"DONATE" page for more information on how you can help the children of Haiti.  Many thanks to those who have already donated and made this possible.

BOOKS-A-GO GO is pleased to welcome Mary Pope Osborne, and Natalie Pope Boyce to our advisory board.  Mary Pope Osborne is the author of the Magic Tree House Series, and her sister Natalie Pope Osborne writes the Magic Tree House research Guides.  Osborne and Boyce have been very active promoting literacy for all children, and BOOKS-A-GO GO is pleased to work with them.

                BOOK COLLECTION ALERT FOR JACKSONVILLE!

BOOKS-A-GO GO is proud to announce a partnership with Watson Realty Corporation to provide drop off locations throughout their offices in Jacksonville Florida.  Book donation in place at Watson Realty offices in Jacksonville, Neptune Beach, Jacksonville Beach, and Ponte Vedra. 

We thank our many thousands of book donors, and know that these offices will offer greater convenience and locations to drop off your children's books in Jacksonville.  We regret if this causes any inconvenience for our donors, but we are so poroud to be working with Watson!

                                        

 BOOKS-A-GO GO is also working on several international projects to provide books to children outside the United States that are from low income families.
