BOOKS--A-GO GO is an international organization that collects used and new children's books and gives them to children from low income families. These books are distributed through schools and organizations that support these children.
Kids need books to improve their literacy and develop a love of reading. BOOKS-A-GO GO has given hundreds of thousands of free books to children whose families cannot afford to buy them the books they need. The children love receiving their books, and get so excited, they hug them and can't want to read them. For many children, it will be the first book in their home.
BOOKS-A-GO GO operates year round, and has it's National Children's Book Drive in March. Let us know if you can have a book drive for BOOKS-A-GO GO in March or anytime. Remember all books collected will be given to local children in need.
Millions of children throughout our country love books and want to read, but they do not have any books at home. BOOKS-A-Go Go wants to fix that, and is changing children's lives, one book at a time.
BOOKS FOR HAITI
BOOKS-A-GO GO wants to provide books, coloring books and crayons to the children in Haiti. Schools, churches and orphanages have been destroyed, and thousands of children have no access to books. The movie, "The Blind Side" tells the amazing story of Michael Oher. BOOKS-A-GO GO is dedicated to getting books in the hands of the thousands and thousands of children like Michael that face so many challenges. BOOKS-A-GO GO sees the wonderful benefits when these children have books. Please see the movie, and you will understand why we work so hard to give all children a chance.
BOOKS-A-GO GO is pleased to welcome Mary Pope Osborne, and Natalie Pope Boyce to our advisory board. Mary Pope Osborne is the author of the Magic Tree House Series, and her sister Natalie Pope Osborne writes the Magic Tree House research Guides. Osborne and Boyce have been very active promoting literacy for all children, and BOOKS-A-GO GO is pleased to work with them.

You may want to just send your children's books directly to BOOKS-A-GO GO and we will see children who need books will get them.
BOOKS-A-Go Go is also working on several international projects to provide books to children outside the United States that are from low income families.
